Over the decades, many people have gotten their start behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry. Its fuel economy and steadfast reliability make it a practical and affordable choice either new or used. That's one of the reasons it has been the best-selling passenger car in America for the past 15 years.
One thing it was not, however, was exciting.
Now forget that vision of the Camry as a boring car to give to your kid when they graduate high school. That old Camry is being replaced by a new generation, fully redesigned to take your breath away.
The 2018 Camry has a lower center of gravity, and a lower, more aerodynamic hood and roof. You won't feel the loss in height sitting inside the elegant cabin, however, thanks to a lower seating position that maintains spacious legroom. Its more athletic dimensions go hand-in-hand with an all-new suspension system and 30-percent increase in torsional rigidity for flat cornering and precise handling.
“With an exhilarating design, refined interior, stirring driving performance, cutting-edge safety and technology, and class-leading fuel efficiency, the all-new Camry retains its excellent value while raising its level of fun and excitement to new heights,” said Bill Fay, Toyota senior vice president of automotive operations. “It is, quite simply, the best Camry ever and the benchmark in the mid-size sedan segment.”
